Spectral Analysis of EEG Signal
Miklenda, Petr ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Kupková, Karolína (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused at the EEG signal analysis using the Fast Fourier Transform. The theoretical part consist of EEG signal description, its creation and selected method for signal analysis. The practical part presents program for recording data from EEG headset and displaying the Fourier spectrum.
Spectral analysis of the EEG signal
Blatný, Michal ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Hrozek, Jan (advisor)
Master’s thesis deal about electroencefalography, measurement EEG signals and analysis measuermed signals. Project contains two basis practical parts. Firts part contain two PC’s programs that’s are used to fundamental analysis to frequence-domain and visual display of brain mapping created with Matlab. Second chapter of practical parts includes two PC’s programs created with LabView. First of them is the EEG biofeedback making use for advanced analyses and second program is used to detection segment of stacionarity.
Electroencephalography
Jarošová, Veronika ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This semestral paper has its aim to describe the electroencephalography. The beginning of paper is devoted to the history of electroencephalography, then there is both spontaneous and evoked brain activity described. Further, the paper deal with the electroencephalography. At the conclusion of teoretical part is described the methodology and processing of electroencephalography signal. The practical part of the work is focused on the creation of three various exercises on the epilepsy theme, reflexes and memory. Then the exercises were verified practically at fourteen volunteers. Further, in the work there is mentioned the instruction for particular measures, valuation results and its discussion.
Event Fixation Related Potential During Visual Emotion Stimulation
K tomuto studiu je třeba vyvinout softwarové nástroje v prostředí Matlab k úpravě a zpracování dat získaných z eye trackeru a propojení s EEG signály pomocí nově vytvořených markerů.
The use of EEG in assessing the emotional state of a person
Strakoš, Libor ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Potočňák, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on EEG processing and emotion classification within two-dimensional emotion space. First part consists of theoretical research about emotional responses of human subjects on sound, image and video stimuli. Emotions are examined from aspect of physiology and psychology. Furthermore technical overview of measurement, analysis and emotion classification within two-dimensional emotional space is discussed. Based on gathered knowledge measurement setup with audiovisual stimuli was designed and measured with two independent instruments – EGI GES400MR in laboratory conditions and Emotiv EPOC device in non-laboratory conditions. Signals were processed and emotions were classified based on chosen features. Performance of classifiers in multiple feature selection setups was evaluated.
Measurement of biosignals with usage of Biopac system
Rageh, Akram ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This work describes a brief overview of measurement of Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), Electrooculography (EOG), Electrocardiography (ECG) and theirs usage. Subsequently is described how these biosignals can be measured with Biopac system. The measurement of electrocardiography is described in detail, including ECG curve description, Biopac measurement system and R-R intervals analysis based on measurement of group of volunteers.
Software for multimedial stimuli presenting
Navrátil, Rudolf ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Bubník, Karel (advisor)
This work deals with the affects of multimedia stimuli on the human body, their processing by senses, the possibility of presentation of the stimuli with emphasis on the possibility of measuring the impact of their effect on biological signals using external measuring station. It describes the design and implementation of the application, allowing presentation of the mentioned stimuli and their synchronization with external measuring system Biopac.
Using of visually evoked potentials for assessment of visual acuity
Hnízdilová, Bohdana ; Svozilová, Veronika (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
In this thesis is described the usage of visual evoked potentials. The theoretical part describes how evoked potentials are measured and recorded. In this thesis is described the usage of evoked potencials in ophtalmology to determine visual acuity. Furthermore, it explains flash stimuli, onset / offset stimuli, pattern-reversal stimuli, and their responses. Practical part deals with evoked response to pattern-reversal stimuli. Signals from encephalogram electrodes and lux meter were measured using Bitalino device. The signals are processed and evaluated by semi-automatic software, where individual sections of the signal are selected by the user. The output is the epoch of the selected section.
Alpha monitor
Svobodová, Eva ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The master´s thesis presents the problems of EEG biofeedback and its application to relax people. The first part discusses the properties of EEG signal , the requirements of the standard EEG and also distribusion signal into different frequency bands. The main essence of the work is the design and realization of Alfa Monitor – a device for relaxation , that for implamanting EEG biofeedback uses acoustic form and sensing of electrical activity of brain in the region of alpha waves. The second half of the work is t focused on circuit design, using integrated circuits with component values of relevant calculations . Further, it analyzes the practical implementation of alfa monitor. The last chapter is devoted to the testing the functionality of this device.
Evaluation of Relationships between Pairs of Contacts in Intracerebral EEG
Hraboš, Martin ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Kupková, Karolína (advisor)
This thesis describes selected methods of brain connectivity analysis. It was created an application, as a part of this thesis - plugin for evaluating relationships and dependencies between signals calculated as Pearson correlation coefficients. Computation of these coefficients is accelerated by GPU.
